7 Reasons To Cloak Your Link With ViralURL

Building a list is considered to be required to make money online, as you build your contacts, you build their trust and then you market them relevant and helpful products that will solve a need or desire they might have.

With Viralurl you don’t only build a list on Autopilot but you can also profit and build an ongoing income at the same time. In this post I will have a look at the 7 main reasons why you should cloak EVERY link you share with Viralurl:

1) It’s Super Easy! – Once you have a Viralurl account, cloaking links becomes a ‘2 click’ walk in the park with the use of our very cool ViralPlugin for FireFox.

2) You can make the links short, which makes them easy to share and nicer to click on.

3) You can track the ‘click stats’ on your links and also the referrer stats, so you can see what source your clicks come from

4) You can protect your affiliate links if you are promoting products and in the process increase your sales by up to 300%!

5) Build a list on Auto-Pilot that you can mail down 5 levels (7 if you are a Viralurl gold member) each week.

6) Earn up to $1 for every member that joins Viralurl from your link. We run a promotion that for 5 days a month we pay up to $1 per referral you send that joins Viralurl, even if they don’t pay us a cent! So basically we are paying you to build your list!

7) Open up a new revenue stream! Viralurl converts at around 6% from free to upgraded members, and you can earn up to 60% in referral commissions. This means if you are a gold member, and earn $98 per year on the One Time Offer upgrades, maths suggests you will earn over $500 for every 100 total referrals you make. That is over $5 per member, even if they don’t upgrade. (not including the $1 promotional offers we run)

Interesting to note is that we offer yearly or monthly memberships, meaning as a referer you will get paid over and over from the same referral for the life of the site, or until they cancel their upgraded membership! This allows you to build a solid, ongoing income from referrals you send to Viralurl

Bonus Reason 8) We are currently, and often, hold contests where we award cash and prizes to members promoting and using Viralurl. Currently we are running a contest for the top promoters, which at time of writing is still anyone’s game, AND also viralurl’s top users. So cloaking all your links with Viralurl can even win you prizes and cash!

Remember, as you cloak links and get them out there into ‘internet cyberspace’ they can bring you referrals for years to come! So for the SAME amount of effort as highlighting a link and clicking ‘right click’, then ‘copy’ and then ‘paste’ you can just as easily use ViralPlugin along with Viralurl to unlock amazing leverage and possibilities!

With great power comes great responsibility so please… No Spamming, play by the rules, but get out there and make some money with the power of Viralurl!

Using Google For Affiliate Marketing

Google is the king of the search engines right now, and a good ranking in Google searches can get you a lot of traffic.  If you are just starting out in affiliate marketing, then you need a lot of traffic to build up your initial customer base.  So, how do you leverage the immense reach of Google to help you do that?

The answer is in Web 2.0 sites.

Web 2.0 is a name used to describe the new kinds of websites that have come about in the past few years.  Social networking sites like MySpace and Facebook, content sharing sites like YouTube and Digg – all of these are Web 2.0 sites.  They  are enormously popular, so they get constantly indexed well by Google and other search engines.

This frequent indexing means that if you submit content to these sites and insert links back to your website, those links will be indexed quickly.

So what’s the strategy?

First thing to do is to prepare a lot of articles about the product you are selling.  You should not use the same article over and over again.  Search engines have duplicate content filters that will block some of them from results.

Once you have these articles, upload them to sites like Associated Content, Ezinearticles, and others like them.  Include a link back to your site in either the content of the article, or in the resource box (some sites have these boxes, some don’t).  Once the article is uploaded, you’ve accomplished two very important things:  you’ve spread word about your product topic on a site that gets lots of traffic every day; and you’ve created a valuable backlink from a website that has a high Page Rank.

Continue to do this (unique content every time) and you will build a lot of traffic for your site.

A Site For Example:

I have a site about Kenneth Cole Shoes and it ranks 4th in Google at time of writing this for the term, Kenneth Cole Shoes. Now that search term gets over 150,000 searches a month and the only sites that beat me out are The main site itself and a very large online shopping site.

Be sure to join my mailing list on the top left of my blog to see a followup post outlining exactly how I did it, so that you can do it too! 🙂

Can you still Retire Rich in the Current Crisis?

“The collapse of the economy has led me to drastically restructure my own retirement plan,” says Dr. Richard Besdine, the 69-year-old director of the Brown University Center for Gerontology and Health Care Research. “It’s a lot simpler now — I’m just going to die in the office.” – CNN Money

Funny… but unfortunatly, due to events taking place over the last two years, potentially true. The retirement age of Average Americans is likely to increase by 10 years due to the setbacks being seen right now. Not sure about you, but the though of working until 75 doesn’t sound too appealing to me.

There simply has to be a better way to earn an income then ‘working for the man’! This is where the internet puts it’s hand up and yells: “Pick Me… Pick Me!”

Truly, anyone can do it, provided you think about each action you take. The saying “Every action has a reaction” wasn’t made up purely because it ryhmes. Don’t do any action without thinking about it first. Why go and post a spam link on other peoples blogs promoting a ponzi scheme? How long will it take before that comment is deleted, if it is approved at all? How many people reading that comment are likely to think “Wow, this sounds good?” I would go as far as to say none will, but everyone else will think of you as just another spammer. That really is NOT the way to do it. Rather, eductate yourself on what successful people do, and think about each action you take. Ensure there is purpose behind it.

I thought about this post before writing it. The reason for me making this post is because I know I can help you to take actions that produce the positive kinds of results. So drumming it in that you can do it, if you do it the right way, should, lead to you signing up to my mailing list and following my posts.

Song of the Week… Must Listen:

Songs have power and meaning. I often here a song that just clicks with me. We all have them and we all have different music tastes. To be honest, rock is not one of my favorite tastes, but the words of this Nickleback song are good ones to listen to and think about sometimes 🙂

I can’t say its words to live your life by, or you will never get anything done… but remember, never take life for granted! Making money is important, but so are the small things… Enjoy:

Online Marketing Blogs

Blogging has become an incredibly popular way to distribute content in the past few years.  Though subjects may vary, all successful blogs have two certain things in common:  regular content updates and content that is valuable to the reader.

While many who are looking to start a career in online marketing may use a blog as an occasional medium for releasing content, many underestimate just how powerful a good blog can be for developing a “hub” presence for online marketing.

Why spend your time developing a blog instead of working on other aspects of online marketing?  There are a few reasons.

First of all, a blog helps to put a personal face to your online business.  If people are able to regularly read things you are writing, and have access to an About or Contact page where they can learn about you or get in touch with you, that makes you an actual person in their minds, instead of a faceless internet entity.  People are more likely to want to do business with “Bill Jones” instead of “productnameplus.com.”

Second, if you provide quality content on your blog, you are able to attract more customers.  For example, if you build a blog about pet training that provides solid resources for web users, then when you use the blog as a platform for promoting a related product, people will value you as person knows what they’re talking about and who has provided a lot of free information to them already.  Having established this credibility, they will be more inclined to try it if it is recommended by you.

You can also add an “opt-in” box where people can sign up for a newsletter or email updates.  This allows you to set up a customer list and have people ask to be on it!  A strong blog with quality content can provide a central hub for all of your online marketing ventures, and can attract quality customers.

A Good Tip:

You can signup to my Optin Box top left to see the process I use. Another good Idea would be to follow me on Twitter. Doing so will trigger a DM sent to you on Twitter from me and you can see how I handle my new twitter followers with the video I send them to and the incentive I give to optin

Traffic Generation With Online Classifieds

Using free online classifieds, like Craigslist, can be a good way to get your online business started and generating traffic. What makes these online classifieds worthwhile is the fact that they generally provide highly targeted audiences.

Let’s say that you are promoting a product that teaches people how to cook. Depending on the type of classifieds site you go to, you may find an entire category devoted to culinary instruction. Otherwise, try to fit your advertisement into the most applicable category.

There are pluses and minuses to online classified ads. First, the pluses: most of them are free, so they’ll fit any budget; as discussed above, the traffic is targeted to your specific audience; they are a way to test out your ad copy before starting a pay per click (PPC) or other paid advertising campaign.

Okay, now the minuses: they’re free, so there’s a lot of people who post classified ads, meaning yours could get lost in the clutter; in advertising, you generally get what you pay for, so the amount of time and effort you put into these free ads may not provide the amount of traffic that a paid ad would.

Before posting your ads, make sure to familiarize yourself with the classifieds site’s rules. You don’t want to go through the trouble of posting an ad only to have it deleted a few moments afterwards because it violated site policy.

So are online classifieds right for you? That depends on your current progress in building your business. If you can afford some other, more traditional forms of internet advertising, they’ll probably give you more traffic.

If you are just starting out and don’t have much, or any, money to put into an advertising campaign, online classifieds could provide you with business that can make you the money to pay for other means of advertising.

Brute Force marketers say that doing it all is best, so maybe it’s worth having a look at Craigslist or PRweb for your business?

WorldWide Telescope – From Inner Space to Outer Space

A lot of people don’t realise it, but since May 2008, it has been possible to travel through the galaxy on your computer. That’s when Microsoft Research released the public beta of WorldWide Telescope, a powerful piece of downloadable desktop software that allows people to zoom through the galazy, visiting planets, constellations, even nearby galaxies.

The WorldWide Telescope (WWT) is a Web 2.0 platform that allows your computer to function as a virtual telescope—bringing together imagery from ground and space-based telescopes around the world for a seamless exploration of the universe.

You can choose from a growing number of tours of the sky guided by astronomers and educators from some of the most famous observatories and planetariums in the country. You can pause the tour, explore on your own, and then rejoin the tour if you like – just where you left off.

Since its release, almost 2 million people around the world have downloaded this free desktop observatory, called a “phenomenal resource for enthusiasts, students, and teachers,” by PC World.

This week (on March 24) Worldwide Telescope got a boost with the news that NASA and Microsoft are developing technology that will make content including high-resolution scientific images and data from Mars and the moon explorable on WorldWide Telescope,

WorldWide Telescope has been nominated for two awards since its release – an American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA) award and the Edison Award. The Edison Awards “symbolize the persistence and excellence personified by Thomas Alva Edison,” recognizing ingenuity, innovation, and creativity in the global economy.

Curtis Wong, and Jonathan Fay, from Microsoft Research drove the creation of Worldwide Telescope, and continue to enrich the telescope’s visuals and add features.

WorldWide Telescope provides a neat segway from inner space to outer space. With Virgin already booking flights for a real space trip, the world is moving ‘up and beyond’.

How long do you think it will be before you and I can take a trip to Space as if we were taking a trip to another country? 🙂

Coming To A TV Near You: Adobe Flash

Adobe is well known for its photo and video editing software, but its most widely used product is a freebie used by millions of people: Flash technology. It is the technology working behind the scenes on many websites and web servers that allows users to enjoy video online.

As reported in the New York Times, Adobe is to announce that Flash is being extended to the TV screen at the upcoming National Association of Broadcasters convention in Las Vegas.

Shantanu Narayen, Adobe CEO, expects TVs and set top boxes supporting the Flash format to be on the US market later in 2009. The top benefit of Flash technology coming to the TV screen is that users will be able to watch the same videos on the PC, phones and TV screens.

Disney CTO Bud Albers said in a statement that his company is one of the backers of Flash on the TV, stating “Coming generations of consumers clearly expect to get their content wherever they want on it, on any device, when they want it. This gets us where we want to go.”

Thanks in part to Flash, Adobe is reporting impressive profit figures. It makes money by selling software that allows media creators to build Flash applications and video. Flash is installed on 98% of all computers and 80% of web videos are viewed using Flash technology. In 2008 Adobe reported income of $871.8 million on revenue of $3.6 billion.

Never one to give ground on any of its related markets, Microsoft is pushing a Flash alternative called Silverlight which it claims has better support for HD 1080p video content. Microsoft states that HD capability is vital in a form format that is to be standard for video on TV. Microsoft’s Brad Becker (a former Adobe executive) said, “I can’t imagine what could be more important on a television than high video quality.”

There’s not been a real competitor to Adobe for ages – Microsoft could just start bridging the gap between the PC and the TV more effectively.

Mobile Ad Network Launched by JumpTap

Mobile advertising startup JumpTap is taking on Yahoo and Google by by launching a pay-per-click advertising network called TapMatch.

The new network lets advertisers bid on categories and keywords, and elect to have their contextual ads appear on mobile Web searches. TapMatch also can target users by carrier, location, and other data to serve a more relevant advertisement. Advertisers and marketers will be able to access the ad network through a Web portal where they can upload images, text, or graphic banners for their campaigns.

Paran Johar, chief marketing officer of JumpTap believes “Savvy marketers worldwide are moving their marketing spend to where it matters most — in front of mobile consumers seeking relevant content and immediate gratifications. The mobile advertising market has reached a new phase of maturity where targeting is now essential, and TapMatch uniquely delivers a system that best matches advertisers to their desired audience at their precise moment of intent.”

TapMatch is directly competing with contextual mobile advertising offerings from Yahoo and the mobile version of Google’s AdWords. It is considered to be a lucrative market that will grow as more users access the internet from their phones.

While acknowledging Google’s stake in the space, Johar said that the TapMatch network can offer mobile advertisers more value because it can target devices by carrier, demographic, location, and handset. The company said its beta testers have seen up to three times the click-through rate compared with competing ad networks.

As smartphones become equipped with more desktop-like capabilities, it’s easy to see how people on the move may soon be using them as replacements for laptops.
